212 degrees

I have begun to read a book entitled 212 degrees the extra degree by Sam Parker and Mac Anderson. This was given to me as a graduation gift from my Pastor. This book within the few days that I have been reading it has really instilled something on my heart. To take the extra effort to do things that God has on my life and accomplish all my dreams and desires. I have really realized that a lot of times the smallest bit of effort over what your already put in can produce such great results and make all the difference. “Many of life’s failures are men who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” Thomas Edison

God’s Vision coming to pass

So yesterday I was in sunday night service and I heard clearly God speaking to me and telling me that I needed to hold a week of prayer for our Youth Church and the Church. Last night was also a real eye opener for some of the youth and adults. Transformation is beginning in our Youth Church and throughout the world. Prayer was amazing today and what God is beginning to do is truly amazing. The power of God is upon us all and we must allow it to consume and transform us.

Blogs and Life

So I know this is my second post of the day but I figured that if I didn’t post it now than I would forget to post it later. As I was taking a short nap today I realized while thinking about my blog that when I write these entries I am attempting to captivate an audience which I personally don’t even know is there. As I type sentence after sentence I get more and more involved and spill more of my heart out. I have realized that this is what we sometimes do in our lives. When we start to try and captivate an audience that we ourselves don’t even know is there. We attempt to find things around us and in our world that will allow us to feel good about ourselves and make us happy. Unfortunately when we do this we have people who don’t want to see us succeed listening. We must be careful in what we “say” and “portray” to the world around us. We must assure that we are talking TO someone instead of AT people. We must focus what we say and what we do on one purpose and one goal and not try and captivate everything and everyone. God would want us to make sure we don’t captivate the wrong audience. So be careful with who your audience is.

Saturday/ Sunday Services

Pastor Steve spoke towards the ladies this weekend, or so I thought. I took notes like usual and payed attention looking for something to learn from the message. After hearing it for the third time I think I have learned just as much as a lot of the ladies in the services. Being a man of God and allowing the spouse or girl in a relationship to fulfill what God wants for her; even if sometimes that may mean going against your “normal” self, will keep that relationship strong. I was shown a visual from Pastor Steve a while back about a relationship and how if you take your hands and put a strength of one partner in the relationship on each finger and weakness between each finger, doing the same on the other hand with the other spouse, when the hands go together the strengths fill in the weaknesses and the weaknesses are filled in by the others strengths. This has been such a thing to live by and has helped me many times. One thing that I have added to that over time is that I feel that God is the super glue between those hands. Hands can be pulled apart with human strength but with God(superglue) holding the relationship together the hands(relationship) can not be pulled apart.

Just Getting Started

This being my first post, it shouldn’t be too long. I have created this blog to communicate with the people who come to visit it; also to have the ability to describe my feelings and the things God has pressed on my heart. I have no idea how often I will post and how long the posts will be, but I hope that I will be able to keep this updated pretty often.
